Abu Dhabi Plaza, Astana
HKR Architects was appointed by Aldar Developments to perform the role of Lead Design Consultants for the prestigious mixed used Abu Dhabi Plaza project in the new capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana. The project is currently under construction and when completed will boast the tallest tower in central Asia, at 88 floors and 380m.
The Abu Dhabi Plaza is planned as an integrated mixed use development comprising serviced residential apartments, 300 bed hotel, international retail centre, and offices. It will have a unique identity and sense of place achieved through a series of slender towers that will act as new urban markers for the city of Astana. The project will incorporate the tallest tower in the CIS.
The project is planned to be one of the most important landmarks in the city and will establish new standards for residential and mixed use development in Kazakhstan.
